Scripture Union, Northern Ireland

I’m a church link person

What information do you hold about me?

As a church link person you will have given us your name, address, email address and phone numbers.

Why do you need this information?

We need this information in order to keep in touch with you about SUNI’s work in your area so that you can carry out your church link role effectively.  We will send you relevant mailings about the work of Scripture Union locally and throughout Northern Ireland so that you can keep your church informed.  Your local E3 worker or members of the local DST (District Support Team) may get in touch with you about specific events or regarding particular prayer needs.

Who do you share my information with and how is it kept secure?

Your personal information is held securely on the Filemaker database on our secure, encrypted server and is only accessed by relevant, passworded staff as necessary and only shared with appropriate volunteers (e.g. DST members) as necessary.  We use MailChimp to send out regular mailings: your name and email address are uploaded via their website each time we send out a prayer update. (For more information on Filemaker and Mailchimp see our Third parties section).   Relevant staff or DST members may hold basic contact details on their passworded, encrypted laptops or on their phones.

For how long do you retain my data?

Your data will be held on Filemaker for as long as you serve as a church link person.  On stepping down from the this role you will be asked if you wish to continue to receive mailings from SUNI as a prayer supporter.  You can withdraw your consent for mailings at any time, and if you no longer wish to hear from us you can ask us to delete your record from the database.
