Schools

SchoolsWe are immensely privileged in Northern Ireland that there is already a strong Christian influence in many of our schools through the Christian pupils, teachers and other members of staff who work there each day, through church representatives on the Board of Governors, through volunteers who share the message of the Bible in assemblies and RE lessons and through others who act as salt and light as they serve their local schools in various ways.

The Christian influence currently enjoyed in our schools and the rich heritage passed down from generation to generation is an immense blessing to be treasured and preserved.

Scripture Union's ministry in schools exists to:

  • promote the Bible as the source of Truth and Life.
  • reach pupils with the Good News of Jesus.
  • support and encourage Christians serving God in schools.
  • envision and equip churches to pray for and engage with their local schools.

The main focus of our work can be broadly divided into three areas:

  1. Primary Schools
  2. Secondary Schools
  3. E3

For more information on each of these areas, please click on the appropriate links.
