Get your trainers on

Being part of an SU camp or mission team is an amazing privilege and a huge responsibility. We want to make sure all our volunteers are as equipped and prepared as possible, so we ran a week of training for all our volunteers.  There were 7 seminars to choose from, 5 different venues and 5 different nights - lots of options to choose from!  If you didn't make it along to some of the training - check out a bit of what you missed below.

A MESSAGE THAT CONNECTS IN RELATIONSHIP

When the Bible is unknown....how do we share Jesus?
What do we do when children or teens we meet don't have any framework or knowledge of God and His word...how do we help individual children understand the things of God. How do we help them encounter God? Thinking through how we explain our faith.
Leanne Dunlop - Monday 7th (Scarva Street Presbyterian, Banbridge)
Rachel Young - Friday 11th (Omagh Methodist Church)

Relational Discipleship
Small group work has always been at the centre of SU camps and mission cause we believe in getting to know children well. So how can I help lead a discussion? How can small groups be more than filling in sheets? What questions to ask... what approach to take... how to handle big groups and little groups... shy kids and loud kids. How to get back to what we want to show... God is real and I'm living proof.
Jenny Atkinson - Tuesday 8th (Coleraine Baptist) and Thurs 10th (Newtownbreda Baptist)

A MESSAGE WE LIVE

Bible and you
Before we begin to open up this book with others is has to impact us first. This session is about falling in love with the book and the God of the book afresh.  And then looking at how do we go deeper.
Christoph Ebbinghaus - Wednesday 9th (Wellington Presbyterian, Ballymena)
